Fry Housing Trust

Fry Housing Trust, which forms part of the Accord Group, has over 50 years’ experience of successfully supporting some of the most socially excluded groups in society (homeless, offenders, mental health and substance misuse) across the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Established in 1959, the Trust was formed to meet the needs of offenders leaving prison with nowhere to live. In addition to now providing almost 250 supported accommodation units, in recent years the Trust has diversified to provide Floating Support services to around 100 clients in their own homes, delivers Probation contracts to provide resettlement from Approved Premises and Prisons across the West Midlands, services for female offenders in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire, and programmes that engage with perpetrators of domestic violence.

Our focus is to bring order to clients’ lives, promote choice and control, develop skills to enable independent living without support, and reduce re-offending leading to safer communities.

What we do

Springboard is an established advice and support service for women offenders delivered across Coventry and Solihull

The aim of the service is to assist individuals to establish a stable lifestyle away from crime, to resettle successfully in the community and to avoid further offending by using a person centred approach to support individuals in the development of a range of life skills.

The service is used by the Courts as a credible sentencing option as an alternative to a short term custodial sentence or other unsuitable community option.

For further information about the Springboard services please call Sarah Marsden, Scheme Manager, on 024 7622 6734.

Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse and Sex Work

What we do

Brighter futures is a free voluntary programme for individuals who have committed or are at risk of committing behaviours defined as domestic violence and abuse

Brighter Futures helps people who have been abusive in the home. We offer either weekly group sessions or one-to-one sessions in a relaxed environment that will help you to reduce risk to you and your family.

The programme consists of 10x 1.5 hour sessions conducted on a weekly basis and includes solution-focused brief therapy, with cognitive-behavioural therapy techniques.

This approach is evidence-based and uses an intervention that has been shown to increase customer engagement, reduce risk and help individuals stop being violent and abusive.
