By: UpRising Birmingham
Added: 05 September 2019
Are you thinking about your skills development for after university? Looking to develop your leadership skills to progress at work? Are you interested in learning about the issues facing Birmingham? Our Leadership Programme is for you!
Who is it for: 18-25 year old's who work, study or live in Birmingham.
How does it work?: This FREE programme is split into 4 key elements:
• Knowledge sessions - Led by local leaders as a panel discussion or in world cafe/networking style. The aim is to allow you to meet high profile professionals and change-makers to build your professional network, whilst learning about the challenges that affect your local community.
• Skills sessions - These are much more practical workshops focusing on things like personal branding, networking, media training and public speaking.
• Coaching & Mentoring - You will have the opportunity to be matched with a coach and a mentor who can help you with your personal and career goals.
• Social Action Campaigns - You will develop your project management skills by creating a social action campaign on an issue you care about in your community. Previous campaigns have now become social enterprises and community interest companies!
You will have the chance to visit, meet and learn from our incredible partners, including UK Parliament, HSBC, Birmingham City Council, KPMG, DLA Piper, West Midlands Combined Authority, The Co-operative Bank and the BBC.
If you're interested in this incredible self-development opportunity, then head to http://www.UpRising.org.uk/apply to submit your application for an October 2019 start!
