Organisation: A Way Forward Foundation
A Way Forward Foundation
A Way Forward Foundation deliver accredited Crime Prevention courses to aid crime prevention and encourage those who are committing crime or at risk of committing crime to seek to change their behaviours. We have been established in Birmingham since 2010.
Our aim, is to deliver a robust service to Birmingham and the wider area. While we used to work in partnership with the prison services, AWFF has just gone through a new transition. We have developed a number of accredited programs which will be beneficial and constructively tailored to certain groups of people. Our course are called:
The Man In The Mirror: Aimed at perpertrators of domestic violence. This course can also be tailored for the recovery of victims and can act as a prevention course for young people.
Children Abusing Parents (CAP) Is an program aimed at parents who are being abused by their children, but can often feel alone and embarrassed to tell anyone. We need parents to know this is a criminal offence.
Stop and Think is a crime prevention programme: This course has been delivered a number of times and is a level 1 accredited programme. The course crietria is knife crime and gangs.
Since AWFF new transition we are in process of opening up 16+ supported accommodation.
