Age UK Birmingham - Stepping Out Footcare Service

Stepping Out Footcare Service
In partnership with Dudley Integrated Health and Care NHS Trust, Dudley residents aged 60 and over are offered a basic foot care
The service involves cutting toenails and filing hard skin, which maintains good foot care and keeps people mobile and prevents falling due to discomfort of long toenails and uncomfortable hard skin. At each foot care clinic, a client is assessed and possibly signposted to other Age UK services or back to their GP or Podiatry if they have other foot or health issues that cannot be tackled through our service. Providing regular attendance to these appointments helps to combat loneliness and isolation in a non-clinical social care environment.
