Carer Support Team, City of Wolverhampton Council
Carer Support provides information, advice and guidance to family carers looking after someone with an illness or disability, that are living in Wolverhampton.
The team offers benefits support, signposting, events and activities as well as a monthly news bulletin and Information magazine.
As part of the Carers Assessment the support worker will do a benefits check and will explain the Carers Emergency Card.

What we do
A carer is anyone who provides a significant amount of support for a relative, friend or neighbour on a regular basis without payment. The person that you look after may have a mental health need, learning disability, physical and sensory disability or may be an older, vulnerable person.
About the Carer Support Team
The Carer Support Team is the first point of contact to help you in your caring role.
The team offer practical information, advice and guidance on the following:

- signposting to other support services
- emotional support for you as the carer
- emergency care for your loved ones with a Carer Emergency Card
- Carer Awareness Training online course
- Information about breaks for Carers
