Liaison & Diversion Services

The Liaison & Diversion Service has 3 area's to it's service. Funded by NHS England, the Black Country Partnership Foundation Trust & Dudley & Walsall Mental Health Trust working in partnership provide a variety of non urgent support for both youths and adults who come to the attention of the Police.

Area 1= Experienced Nurse Practitioners who provide assessment and support to detainees in Oldbury and Wolverhampton Police custody who present with any vulnerability and can refer to Area 2 or 3 depending on age of detainee.

Area 2= Experienced Community Nurse Practitioners and Support Time Recovery workers who can support adults referred from Area 1 to other appropriate social / Health providers to meet the needs of the individual, providing support for up to 6 weeks.

Area 3= Experienced Community Nurse Practitioners and Support Time Recovery workers on receipt of a referral from Youth Offending Teams offer health and wellbeing assessments and further signposting to other social / health providers for Youths aged 10-18 years.
Liaison & Diversion Community Services provide support across the geographical borough of Dudley Sandwell Walsall and Wolverhampton. The service Currently the service is only commissioned to accept referrals from other Liaison & Diversion services and Youth Offending Teams, unfortunately self referrals are not accepted. However, if you have been referred and would like further information on the services provided, please contact us on 01922 607054 Monday-Friday 9-5pm.
