We are looking for a friendly and well motivated and organised individual who can show initiative and the skills necessary to become our next Project Manager of our foodbank and who has a heart for our service users and their situation In 2022 we fed 5365 adults and 2219 children and this year with demand increasing the figures will be higher.
North Solihull Foodbank is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity No.1202316) affiliated to the Trussell Trust that has built on the work and expertise of the Kingfisher Foodbank (established 2012) serving our local community in North Solihull, East Birmingham and the surrounding areas. (Post Codes B33, B34, B35, B36, B37) with two foodbank centres open to the service users between 12.30 and 2.30 pm on a Tuesday, and Friday at Auckland Hall in Smith’s Wood and on a Thursday at the Welcome Change Community Centre, Shard End. Our warehouse is in Castle Vale
We are looking for a motivated individual to become our Project Manager to deliver and develop our foodbank project over the next two years. This is a part time job equivalent to three days a week
Salary: £17,000 per annum

Hours of work: Part-time: 24 hours per week
Reporting to: The Trustees of North Solihull Foodbank
Responsible for: The management and coordination of the foodbank
Location: North Solihull
Principal Responsibilities of the role of the Foodbank Manager
• Work with the charity’s trustees and the area manager of Trussell Trust in developing and delivering the foodbank’s vision and strategic goals and reporting back to the trustees
• To manage our foodbank and oversee its operational efficiency and ensure that standards are complied with in accordance with The Trussell Trust franchise model.and the guidance that it provides
• To lead supervise, inspire and support our volunteers and be aware of the requirements of a food bank
• To, promote the foodbank and model the values of the foodbank
• Work with our supporters and stakeholders and develop new contacts
• Carry out administrative tasks and keep adequate records including accurate financial records, receive reports, input data, grant reporting and disseminate information, with the use of Excel Spreadsheets,
• To maintain the confidentiality of the service users and the charity
• To adhere to Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures, and Adult Safeguarding procedures throughout.
• To ensure the efficient use of resources at all times
What we are looking for in a Foodbank Project Manger
• A friendly and well-motivated character who is non-judgmental and empathetic and determined to help those in need and who is prepared to go that extra mile
• An ability to inspire, lead motivate. train and support our volunteers
• Well organised , proactive, flexible with an ability to think on their feet and outside the box
• A thirst for knowledge about the operations of a foodbank and a willingness to learn
• Confident in their use of Excel, social media and preferably with a clean driving licence and access to and use of transport. and business insurance.
