Organisation: ST PETER'S CENTRE
ST PETER'S CENTRE
St Peter's Centre is located in Hillfields, over the past 16 years we have served as the main hub for the local community. Central to the charity’s objectives is to place people at the heart of what we do. We provide a myriad of services to all sections of the community in this deprived area of the city. We focus primarily on working in collaboration with organisations that support people who are disadvantaged to ensure the continued delivery of safe and good quality services to people when they need us. Thus we actively attract people who are experiencing multiple disadvantages. We offer people of all faiths and cultures a respectful environment to meet, learn and celebrate. We create a positive social, educational and cultural environment aiming through activities to improve the quality of life for local residents.
We let rooms and office to organisations and community groups. The Centre had a footfall of 40,000 in 2016.
A not-for-profit autonomous organisation the Centre's governance structure is based on a social model. The trustees are volunteers with a wide range of skills and expertise, ranging from local knowledge to accountancy and management skills.
