Organisation: Temper Domestic Violence
Temper Domestic Violence
Temper Domestic Violence works with males and females who are violent and or aggressive and or abusive with an intimate partner, perpetrators and abusers. The work is carried out in intensive closed groups with no more than 8 participants in each group. They are held at weekends, a Saturday and Sunday, 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. with the second half usually 1 month later, in the same group, 36 hours in all.
More than 1,000 men and more than 100 women have completed the programme over the last 24 years.
A first meeting lasting about 1 hour, usually in the client's own home completes an application form which determines if the work is appropriate.
Costs are £30 for the first meeting and £480 for the course with reductions for people on benefits or low income. Payments can also be made by arrangement over prolonged periods of time.
