Who are The AoC?

What We Can Offer:
We provide three unique, creative services for either private clients or for organisations large or small:
a) therapy services,
b) education and training services
c) arts-based events services.
With over fifty years combined experience, our very warm and friendly staff team are highly skilled in: Arts therapy; Dramatherapy, Integrative Counselling, Mindfulness, Workshop facilitation, Supervision, Research, Lecturing, Teaching, Devising, Theatre, Performing and Creative Teaching on a wide range of subjects including motivation, confidence building, team dynamics, public speaking and Skills-Based Training.
We can offer sessions one to one, in couple or in groups both large and small. Sessions can be held face to face, via Skype or even over the telephone. We always put the client and their preferences first.
We have both male and female therapists who specialise in a wide range of modalities of therapy and counselling.
Telephone & Skype Counselling
Telephone and online counselling is becoming more popular as people struggle to travel to venues when they have had a busy day at work or need to arrange for child care. Some of us have more hectic schedules which is why telephone and online counselling is perfect. We have offer telephone sessions which are still 100% confidential. The therapist will take notes during and after the session and can also take payment over the phone prior to the session. Skype counselling works the same way but you can see the therapist and chat via a video call. A Skype account will be needed and can be created for free. We then link the Skype account prior to the session start.
All future sessions would also be arranged via the telephone or via Skype. For more information about this please don't hesitate to contact us.
Issues We Deal With:
Common problems we are skilled at assisting include: anger management, stress, anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, depression, insomnia, abuse, weight problems and eating disorders including anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, low self-confidence, personality issues, relationship issues, emotional abuse, social obstacles, panic disorder, family issues, addiction(s), phobias, affairs and betrayals, separation and divorce, couples issues, offending behaviour, people living with dementia bullying and much more.

What we do
Here at the AoC, we are passionate about unlocking the creativity within you. Our West Midlands studios and facilities are located in the heart of the Black Country. We offer a safe, confidential and supportive counselling and creative art therapy service to our clients across the UK.
We use creativity and the arts to combine drama techniques with tried and tested therapeutic processes. We help our clients reach their goals, make long-lasting recoveries and instil extraordinary self-confidence. We are committed to providing a high quality, evidence-based practice through personal therapy and counselling. We also run educational and creative workshops, courses, retreats and taster workshops. These are all delivered through our FIVE uniquely inter-linked services of excellence:
Our services are connected through the belief that all counselling and therapy services, workshops and courses have a therapeutic outcome, holistically. For example, learning a new skill academically may make the learner feel confident in themselves and raise self-esteem. The same is applicable if that same learner was undergoing formal therapy or counselling. We believe in education, human and spiritual development, and health and well-being. We believe in a person centred approach that works with the needs of the learner or client engaged in therapy.
We offer short or long term face to face, telephone and online remote one to one support, as well as face to face and group therapy sessions at our relaxing studios and facilities.
The AoC is registered with The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and The British Association of Dramatherapists (BADTH).
