UpRising

UpRising is a UK-wide youth leadership development organisation, we offer a range of free leadership and employability programmes for 16-25 year olds.

Our mission is to open pathways to power for talented young people from diverse and under-represented backgrounds. We equip them with the knowledge, networks, skills, and confidence to fulfil their leadership potential, find new opportunities and transform the world around them through social action.

Our flagship programme is a 9 month leadership programme providing access behind the scenes training sessions with some of the UKs most senior leaders across the political, private, public and not for profit sectors. Each participant is individually matched with a coach and a mentor who supports them on a one to one basis throughout their time on the programme. They also work with other UpRisers to design and deliver a social action campaign on a local issue they are passionate about.

We have been delivering programmes since 2008, and now run a range of programmes in London, Bedfordshire & Luton, Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, participants do not have to pay to attend any of our programmes.
