West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network

*By West Midlands Police Referral Only*

In Birmingham, The West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network can support male survivors of modern slavery in a semi-supported safe house for 5-10 days. The service initially focuses on the man’s emergency physical and wellbeing needs, and then addresses the his rights, entitlements and wishes to access support as a potential victim of modern slavery, whether that is the National Referral Mechanism or accessing other services.
This work is in partnership with West Midlands Police, West Midlands Local Authorities, Public Health England, The Illegal Money Lending Team, Wates and other network partners.

Our key indicators of success are increased safety, increased knowledge of their rights and entitlements, improved health and wellbeing, engagement with appropriate agencies and safe exit to appropriate support. Our aim is to reduce the risk of re-trafficking, increase men’s engagement with appropriate services, improve the quality of NRM referrals and ensure men have a full understanding of their options to make an informed decision about their future.

This service is by referral form from West Midlands Police only. To request a referral form if you are working with a potential victim of modern slavery who requires this support, please contact Amber.Cagney@westmidlandsantislavery.org/07907478668
